I've been using GB '08 with Native Instruments' GuitarRig 2 as a plug-in for several years and would like to use the active x windows 10 with Logic Pro X at least initially as I learn the tools in Logic Pro, and for compatibility with older projects.

I'm aware that GR2 is not officially supported on Guitar rig logic pro x free or indeed any OS X since about Leopard, though I've run it under Snow Leopard for ages without problems but have managed to install and update it to 2.

When I open a Logic Pro file converted from one of my GB'08 projects in which GR2 was used, Logic Pro reports that 'The plug-in named "GuitarRig 2" по этому адресу available on your system' and it appears checked but grayed out in the plug-ins list attached to the relevant track.

Just to update this thread in case anyone else has the GuitarRig2 and Logic Pro X issue, I've tried the free demo of 32 Lives and it does guitar rig logic pro x free to work.

Apologies if i've misread your post, but to use Guitar Rig in Logic you need to create an audio track and assign the Guitar Rig plug in to it:. Once you've created your track, make sure the inspector is enabled top left of screen this gives you information on the track that you have selected:. Now select the Audio FX for the selected track which looks like this:.

For automation, Logic has 4 different modes, which you must enable on a track-by-track basis, by default this is set to 'Read':. Once finished ensure that automation is set to 'read'. That way, Any automation you've saved cannot accidently be adjusted. Look up the other modes within the Logic manual as they can be very handy if you want to fine tune your automation.

You can also select a region that you've played and clear all the automation within it, sometimes this is necessary when first learning how automation in Logic works as it can be a little confusing to start with and so it's handy knowing that the option exists. Page content loaded.
